Our Precision Machining Processes

For over fifty years, Meccanica Tecnica has been synonymous with precision machining processes designed to solve real‑world challenges, even the most complex. The professional experience we have built over time has enabled us to develop a modern, well‑structured workshop where tradition and innovation coexist every day.

From five‑axis milling to laser welding and 3D printing, each technology is carefully selected by our qualified personnel based on:

  • The part to be produced
  • The material to be machined
  • The tolerances required by the customer

Every component manufactured in our technical department originates from a tailor‑made process: whether it’s a single prototype or a small production run, it always follows the same rigorous workflow that includes CAD/CAM design, optimal process selection, manufacturing and final inspection. This is the approach that allows us to guarantee reliability and repeatability for every customer who entrusts their project to our expertise.

Would you like to learn more about the types of machining services we perform in our workshop? Explore them on the dedicated pages and don’t hesitate to contact us for a personalised quote.

We serve customers in Modena, Bologna, Verona, and throughout Italy’s Emilia‑Romagna region.

EDM

Also known as EDM, electrical discharge machining uses controlled electrical discharges to machine even the hardest metals. With this technology, it is possible to create complex shapes and fine details with a level of precision that is difficult to achieve using traditional methods. Visit the page to learn more!

Five-Axis Milling

Five‑axis milling is among the most versatile precision machining processes. It enables the production of prototypes and small runs with reduced lead times and outstanding geometric precision, thanks to the simultaneous movement along five axes of the machines used.

Precision Grinding

When a customer requires a high level of surface finish for their components, precision grinding comes into play. We use Röders machining centres with grinding capability of up to five axes, ensuring smooth surfaces and micron‑level tolerances. Visit the page for more information.

EDM Microdrilling

Microdrilling enables the creation of very small diameter holes, including deep bores, in materials that are difficult to machine such as hardened steel, aluminium and similar alloys. This technique is ideal for miniaturised components or parts with particularly complex geometries.

Laser Marking

Laser marking is ideal for creating alphanumeric codes for part traceability, logos, and much more. Fast and precise thanks to state‑of‑the‑art laser technology, it can be used across a variety of applications. Visit the dedicated page to find out more!

Laser Welding

Laser welding enables the production of extremely precise and durable joints in steel, bronze and copper alloys, aluminium, and titanium. This process is also well suited to repair of components, tools and inserts of all types. Take a look at the page for further details.
