EDM Microdrilling
Microperforation is a machining technique that was considered very difficult to perform until recent times for material-related reasons like hardness and depth but today, using EDM, it is possible to outperform older techniques quickly and accurately.
The hole is made using an electrode of known diameter and dielectric fluid; this system is also used to make the preholes for wire cutting technology.
This extremely versatile technique is also widely used on hardened steel or hard metal and it is able to make holes of small diameters but of considerable depth. With this technology we can make holes starting from Ø 0.2 mm on heights up to 300 mm (heights and diameter of the hole may vary depending on conditions).
Meccanica Tecnica’s philosophy is characterized by precision, technique and specific skills, and we work daily to improve our techniques to offer to our customers.
We invite you to contact us for further details. We operate actively throughout Emilia-Romagna and the province of Verona.
